Among the notable updates is the introduction of stored queries, enabling users to save up to five personalized search criteria for future use, including full-text searches.

The special search feature enhances traditional tag searches by accommodating variations in terminology. For example, a search for “Science fiction” can yield results for related tags such as “Sf” or “Sci-Fi,” broadening the search scope within the same genre.

When performing a tag search in the “Special” category, the system identifies all relevant authors associated with the specified tag and retrieves their works. A search for “Sf” can effectively uncover books by renowned authors like Isaac Asimov and Jules Verne.

This robust system supports comprehensive book searches, allowing users to explore results based on author names, titles, descriptions, or all criteria collectively. Users can conveniently download books directly into their preferred reader application without the hassle of managing iTunes. The calibre library can be hosted on various platforms including PCs, websites, or NAS systems, provided that http or ftp access is available for optimal functionality.
